1. Ejercicios para practicar el Imperativo:
a) Primer test.
b) Segundo test.
c) Tercer test.

a) Biofuels and the Environment.
b) Airbus Crisis Over.
c) Ada Lovelace.

Dear students!

In this entry you will find 3 activities from the book Style 3. It is important that you write them down in your notebook. Next Monday I will start the class asking you about activity 7.

Please, note that this work is DIFFERENT from the one that you have to prepare for WEEK 4.

Have a nice week and keep up the good work!

UNIT 4 - Lesson 2 "FIRST AID"
FUNCTIONS:
- Giving instructions, narrating an experience.
- Speaking and writing based on the engineering field with greater fluency and complexity.
STRUCTURES: Adverb clauses: when, while, before, after, until, as soon as.
VOCABULARY: animal bite, bandage, blanket, bleeding, burn, cut, drowning, fall, grease, injury, pressure, shock, soap, traffic accident, wound, wrap.

How to Make a Cup of Coffe
1. First you need to buy some coffee and a coffee maker.
2. Then you have to put the water into the bottom of the coffee maker.
3. You do not need to boil the water.
4. Next, you have to put the coffee in the coffee compartment and screw the top of the coffee maker on.
5. After that you need to put the coffee pot onto the stove.
6. Then, turn the stove on high and wait. Yo do not have to move the coffee pot.
7. When the water boils and goes into the upper part of the pot you then have to remove the pot from the heat.
8. Finally, pour some coffee into a cup, add sugar and milk, and enjoy.

2. GRAMÁTICA: Adverb clauses with time (oraciones con adverbios de tiempo).

He was talking on the phone when I arrived.
She began cooking while I was finishing my homework.
We will finish before he arrives.
She ate after I left.
We waited until he finished his homework.
As soon as I hear from Tom, I will give you a telephone call.

Muchas gracias. Un saludo.

WEEK 2

Hello dear students!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend as I write this first post in your blog. Yes! From now on you have this site at your disposition. Here you will find all the materials you will need to review for the next class, plus more stuff to practice with.

Tomorrow's class content is as follows:

UNIT 4 - Lesson 1 "YOUR OWN BUSINESS"
FUNCTIONS: Giving instructions and suggestions.
STRUCTURES: Imperatives.
VOCABULARY: advertising, cost, flyers, franchise, market, product, profit, rationale, service, success, unethical, cool, bagel, equipment, parlor, juggler, chunky, nut, chubby, buzz.
Phrasal verbs: find out, hand out, look into, think about.
Sequencing conjunctions: first, next, after that, then, finally.

We will use "Style" (3) as our textbook. You do not have to buy it, but if you have it already, bring it to class.
Use my favorite online dictionary to find the meanings of the vocabulary for this week.

Ejemplos:
Come early (Venga temprano).
